Kelvin McHenry, MS, LPC, ASD-CS
Co-Founder of McHenry Counseling
“I believe healing happens in the spaces where we are finally allowed to be fully human—and fully heard.”
I’m Kelvin McHenry, co-owner of McHenry Counseling. My role is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you can explore all aspects of your emotional and mental well-being. I offer steady presence, deep respect, and guidance tailored to you—not a diagnosis, not a label.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I’ve worked extensively with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, neurodivergence (ADHD & Autism), PTSD/CPTSD, identity struggles, relationship concerns, and intimacy issues. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I incorporate an eclectic blend of methods to meet each client exactly where they are.
I believe healing isn’t about fixing—it’s about being heard, held, and honored. Whether you're just beginning your journey or rebuilding after deep pain, I’ll walk with you at your pace, in your way.
Outside of session, I’m a devoted husband, father, and son who finds peace in gardening, home projects, and the joyful chaos of our family dog. Life isn’t perfect—but it’s real. And I bring that same grounded authenticity into every session.
If you're ready to feel seen and supported, I’m here.
Pauline McHenry, MS, LPC, NCC, CCTP
Co-Founder of McHenry Counseling
"Healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about remembering your strength."
At McHenry Counseling, I believe every person deserves a space where they feel heard, valued, and empowered. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and understand how deeply early experiences can impact emotional health — but I also know how hope, skill-building, and support can transform that story.
Throughout our work together, you’ll find that I focus not just on coping, but on thriving — helping you reconnect with your strengths, build emotional resilience, and move toward the life you want to create. Whether you are seeking healing, growth, or simply a place to breathe and be understood, I am honored to walk alongside you.
When I’m not counseling, you’ll find me enjoying time with my family, continuing my advocacy for mental health awareness, and believing deeply in the possibility of new beginnings — for myself, for my clients, and for the world we share.
